Tre Tennyson is a writer, composer, director, and performer from Richmond, Virginia. He received his B.A. from the University of Virginia, his Masters in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University, and his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia. He currently is employed as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where his work primarily centers on healthcare, life sciences, and social sector clients.
As a writer, Tre's most recent play Omorodion was produced for the Harvard Playwrights Festival. He has also directed a number of productions across the world, most notably Sweeney Todd in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Margaret Edson's Wit in Shenzhen, China. Most recently, he finished writing his first full novel, Summer in the City. As an artist, Tre's work typically centers on such themes as death, time, race, class, and power. He lives in Washington, D.C., where he is currently at work on his next novel.
